EGIA is dedicated to serving and supporting our members through a number of initiatives, notably including in-person educational events throughout the country. Like the rest of the world and so many of you, we’ve been monitoring the recent pandemic of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus, and we’re committed to making the health and safety of our members, educators, partners and communities a priority above all else.

Due to those considerations, along with the travel restrictions affecting so many worldwide, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to replace the remainder of our spring workshops scheduled through April 29 with a new series of online training sessions that member contractors can access from anywhere.

EGIA will remain open during this crisis – with much of our staff working from home – in order to continue serving our members who are being impacted during these trying times. While in-person workshops have been paused, by our organization as well as others in the industry worldwide, we’ve already begun planning and developing a robust schedule of online trainings that will feature the same faculty who lead our acclaimed classroom events.

These new training sessions will be available online to ensure some continuing education will be accessible even while attempting to follow recommended social distancing and self-quarantine protocols. The trainings will focus on our 10 Core Curriculum areas, including leadership, in-homes sales, technician communication, marketing, and much more.

Stay tuned to the EGIA Blog and our Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter for updates.

We’ll continue to keep a close eye on developments and prioritize the wellbeing of our members with any future decisions we make, but as of now we have every intention of holding our EPIC2020 conference in October, as well as our fall slate of workshops.

In the meantime, visit the Online Classes and the Contracting Best Practices Library in the member dashboard to access nearly limitless training resources and courses from the safety and comfort of your home, office or anywhere.

Our sympathies are with everyone affected by this pandemic, both in our community and worldwide. Please reach out to your EGIA Member Services representative with any questions.
