In the February 2021 Snapshot Survey, contractors share their experience with offering Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) products and services to help you learn how to incorporate best practices into your business. Here’s one survey question and its results from the summary report, which will be available in its entirety to EGIA members on 3/19/21.

What percentage of your sales revenue does IAQ products or services account for?

EGIA Snapshot Survey - Indoor Air Quality

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) products and services can improve the quality of the air within indoor environments and give homeowners the peace of mind that their home’s air is safe to breath. This somewhat new vertical in the HVAC industry has become very popular during COVID-19 and presents a huge growth opportunity for contractors who position the offering appropriately in their mix. According to the contractors who took our survey, IAQ products and services account for 3%-5% of the overall sales revenue for 31% of home services companies. 11% of contractors even reported that IAQ products make up more than 10% of their overall sales revenue.

Here’s what an HVAC and plumbing contractor from Alabama said in the survey:

“We offer indoor air quality products on every call. In 2020, indoor air quality products made up 3% of our total sales.”
